Dr. Morgan Weinstein is a postdoctoral psychology fellow with a dual specialization in neuropsychological assessment and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
In her assessment work, Dr. Weinstein utilizes gold standard measures to evaluate cognitive functioning across a wide range of neuropsychological profiles. She is skilled at making differential diagnoses across the lifespan, including conditions such as learning disabilities, ADHD, and Autism Spectrum Disorder. From a therapeutic standpoint, Dr. Weinstein employs evidence-based approaches to help individuals overcome a variety of challenges. Her expertise encompasses treating conditions such as anxiety, depression, OCD, challenging child behaviors, elimination disorders, ADHD, and interpersonal and family conflict.
Dr. Weinstein earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Philosophy from Emory University in Atlanta, GA. She completed both her Master of Science in Clinical Psychology and her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (PsyD) at LIU-Post. Dr. Weinstein’s clinical training includes predoctoral externship rotations at Mount Sinai Medical Center, where she completed rotations focusing on neuropsychology and psychotherapy with child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations. She completed an APA-accredited neuropsychology internship at Mount Sinai’s adult neuropsychology center. This highly specialized internship program focused on the assessment of neurocognitive abilities, with a particular emphasis on differentiating neurodegenerative disease diagnoses, such as Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.
Dr. Weinstein’s approach to psychotherapy and neuropsychological assessment is nonjudgmental and collaborative; working with clients to understand their challenges while supporting their individual perspectives, goals, and values. Her primary aim is to empower clients to achieve their desired changes and develop a robust therapeutic toolbox for long-term well-being.
