Beatrice Scansani, M.S., M.A., is a 5th-year doctoral candidate and clinical psychology intern at CBA, where she provides evidence-based treatments to children, adolescents, young adults, and adults. Her clinical approach integrates cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), with a focus on tailoring treatment to each individual’s developmental stage, cultural background, and unique clinical needs. At CBA, Beatrice also facilitates parent training sessions and co-leads multifamily DBT skills groups, in addition to offering specialized support for children experiencing elimination disorders such as encopresis and enuresis.
Beatrice is a licensed clinical psychologist in Italy and brings international training and experience to her work. She earned her Master of Science in Mental Health Studies at King’s College London, where she trained on an acute community mental health team. She later completed her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology at San Raffaele University in Milan and worked at IRCCS San Raffaele Hospital in the inpatient and outpatient unit for personality disorders. In the U.S., she has provided care in a variety of clinical settings, including Fordham University Counseling and Psychological Services, NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health, and LIU Post Psychological Services Center.
Her work is informed by a deep commitment to integrative care that considers both the inner emotional world and concrete behavioral change. She strives to create a collaborative, nonjudgmental therapeutic space in which clients can deepen self-understanding, increase psychological flexibility, and move toward meaningful life goals. Beatrice is fluent in English and Italian.
